Orban wrote a non-public letter to the EU leadership
⚡️Orban wrote a non-public letter to the EU leadership, where he spoke about Putin’s confidence in Ukraine’s defeat — TV channel “Current Time” with reference to the investigative project “System”
It is noted that Orban sent the letter to European Council President Charles Michel and the heads of EU member states after his recent visits to Kyiv and Moscow.
According to the Hungarian prime minister, the Russian authorities are convinced that “time is not on the side of Ukraine, but on the side of Russian forces.”
“The Russian president was surprised that the Ukrainian president rejected the temporary ceasefire,” Orban wrote.
According to him, Putin did not answer a direct question about his attitude to Zelenskyy’s “peace plan” and the peace summit held in Switzerland in June at the initiative of Ukraine. The Russian president only spoke again about the “Istanbul agreements”.
In general, Orban summarizes, Europe must take an autonomous initiative, as everyone in the United States is too busy with the election campaign.
“If we fail to contain or stop this process, we will witness more dramatic losses and military events on the front lines in the next two months than ever before,” Orban writes.
